Let us revolutionize the helmet design

Let us see the statistics of deaths in road accidents around the world.

Global Road Crash Statistics

Approximately 1.35 million people die in road crashes

each year, on average 3,700 people lose their lives every

day on the roads. An additional 20-50 million suffer

non-fatal injuries, often resulting in long-term disabilities.

Indian road crash statistics

Approximately 150,000 people die in road crashes each year

and approx.400,000 people suffer non-fatal injuries, often

resulting in long-term disabilities.Mostly earning and active people die.

Can you imagine 3 to 5 pc loss to GDP globally?

India loses $58 billion annually due to road accidents: UN study

....................................................................

Key facts

  • Approximately 1.35 million people die each year as a result of road traffic crashes.

  • The2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development has set an ambitious target of halving the global number of deaths and injuries from road traffic crashes by 2020.

  • Road traffic crashes cost most countries 3% of their gross domestic product.

  • More than half of all road traffic deaths are among vulnerable road users: pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists.

  • 93% of the world's fatalities on the roads occur in low- and middle-income countries, even though these countries have approximately 60% of the world's vehicles.

  • Road traffic injuries are the leading cause of death for children and young adults aged 5-29 years.

Every year the lives of approximately 1.35 million people are cut short as a result of a road traffic crash. Between 20 and 50 million more people suffer non-fatal injuries, with many incurring a disability as a result of their injury.

Road traffic injuries cause considerable economic losses to individuals, their families, and to nations as a whole. These losses arise from the cost of treatment as well as lost productivity for those killed or disabled by their injuries, and for family members who need to take time off work or school to care for the injured. Road traffic crashes cost most countries 3% of their gross domestic product.

Let me mention about our lock-screen image in our Bloodyfast mobile app which will save thousands of lives in each country,Helmet is a different matter.

According to the Road Accidents in India 2018 report released by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH), as many as 2,385 persons, including riders (1,707) and pillion riders (678) of motorised two-wheelers, were killed in road accidents

as they did not wear helmet.

Now let us talk about the design of the helmet

During the discussion at national conference of social workers and NGOs in PBM hospital and medical college in Bikaner in Rajasthan, I had proposed a design of the helmet in front of top-most officials of the RTO of Rajasthan state and it was shocking that the police official told me instantly that such design is not possible without even thinking about the imminent possibility of such design by IT and engineering brains.

Anyway this is my proposal for the same

1) The helmet should be manufactured by 2 wheeler vehicles manufacturers

as they have all possible resources of technology for going into production.

2) This helmet should be an integral part of each 2 wheeler that is sold anywhere in the world and included in the final price of the 2 wheeler.

3) The helmet design has electronic design with 2 separate clicks activated by the action of the 2 wheeler rider.First click will be on helmet locked to steady parked 2 wheeler. The helmet has to be unlocked from the steady vehicle.Even a key can be part of design to unlock the helmet from 2 wheeler

Second click is activated ( The switch can be located on the top of the helmet at a position exactly on top of head )Once the helmet is pressed on the head and straps are exactly in place ( Both action will have to be completed precisely) then only ignition of the 2 wheeler possible with the use of the key.Unless helmet is in place and locked on head, 2 wheeler should not be able to start the ignition.

FORCING MOTOR CYCLE RIDERS TO WEAR HELMETS WILL LEAD TO SAVINGS OF THOUSANDS OF LIVES ALL OVER THE WORLD.

This is just a wild thought but concerned experts can improve upon on all aspects

Please contact me if you wish to suggest anything about design of the helmet.
